So I’m thinking of picking up some rims to throw some snow tires on for the fiesta. When... Oh god and it was an st! What happened here?

Looks like it got its ass kissed before it was introduced to Jaws of Life.

Going by the black paint on the rear bumper. A black car rear ended it spinning it around, making flip many times, then hit a power pole ass first.

Funny how
life
is a relative term. They might save the lives of the people, but they’re a certain death sentence for the car.

I’ve always wanted to go and hit up Brandywine, I’m more impressed with how they did that than anything

I don’t think it has rolled. The roof piece is pretty much intact despite been violently removed.

A FWD Vettekart.
Maybe the Roadkill guys can flip the steering to the rear of the car. Boom! Rear drive, rear engine Fiesta-Porsche-Kart!
Ps. Roadkill has become my comfort food

Sunroof has slight leak, small crack in windshield, needs some body work, no lowballers, will trade for 2 ATVs and an XBOX.

That car had no hope when they found it. It was a total loss long before they went after it with the jaws of life.

A pecan landed on the roof. After seeing what acorns do to the roof, I’m afraid to see what a bigger nut would do. Or worse, hail.

Can’t be done. Haven’t you noticed that the Roadkill guys never touch any project car newer than 1974 (and I believe the only exception was that “race car”, which was all sorts of illegal throughout that episode). That’s because they’re based in CA and smog laws make it extremely complicated and expensive to play with anything newer.

Nah, boost in an ST comes on so smooth that you can’t discern where NA leaves off and boost begins. It just feels like you have a distinctly bigger engine.

Ohh I see. They do quite often travel out of the state, but I suppose it all comes back to CA in the end.
Well maybe the same approach could be taken to something 70s. One of those old 8L Eldorados that was inexplicably FWD. That would be some project.

That could be pretty entertaining, although I don’t know that it would be worth the effort when they have so much more easy stuff available to work with.
Actually, I was wrong. It’s 1975 or older and it’s because their home base is in the greater Los Angeles area. But yes, that’s why.
I actually wondered if Finnigan buying the place in Georgia was so they had a home for cars that they couldn’t build/drive/license in SoCal. There are closer spots, but then I wondered if they had more cheap car options there than spots on the west coast, in AZ, or similar.

But that’s not always the case. All it takes for the doors to come in is the doors to be jammed shut by something, not
necessarily
certain death for a car.
In your average car crash the lives of car and occupants are both in jeopardy. The jaws swing the balance towards the humans, at the expensive of the car.

There’s something to that. I’ve heard them head into state and visit junkyards, and say things like
You just can’t find junk yards like this in CA anymore! They’ve all been raided etc
Eric @ opposite-lock.com
> Nauraushaun
12/05/2016 at 19:54 | 1 |
And that’s exactly the reason. Titles from 1975 and earlier are like gold. The cars in that age range are distinctly more valuable than those from 1976 and beyond up until they’re considered worthy daily drivers. Anything mint worth rebuilding wouldn’t be left to rot in one.
CA also instituted some environmental protection laws that drove a lot of junkyards out of business decades ago.

Might be true in some cases, but look at the pictures from the site. The hood was destroyed, the bumper, radiator into the engine, rear bumper, rear hatch, at least three fenders, at least two windows, airbags blown, etc. I bet the frame is bent. It would cost more than the car is worth in this case to bring it back to life...

Wow, the fact that it actually affects values is weird. I guess weird legislation causes weird results.
